It's BACK! Are you ready for some more Creative Carving?!Halloween is this week and that means it is the perfect time to carve that pumpkin! But why stop there? Carved fruits and vegetables can be an excellent addition to your holiday centre piece. Start practicing now and wow your guests at your next party!Join local artist Kay Slater in a creative carving class where you'll create a work of pumpkin art that will either delight or disgust your trick-or-treaters! We will explore a few different carving techniques (that can also be used for your harvest centrepieces or even just to spruce up your breakfast plates). Students are welcome to bring a stencil from home as a starting point (but we’ll have a few on hand for you as well). While we carve, our pumpkin “guts” will be whipped up into a tasty snack that we’ll get to sample. You’ll be sent home with few tasty pumpkin seed recipes and you can try at home. 1 pumpkin per student. Class price includes a pumpkin, and a linocut tool set that you can take home and use for your own fruits and veggies!*This class is designed for anyone 12 & up but would be a blast for a parent & teen to do together! Book 2 seats for you and your friend/child and save! Carved fruits are also a beautiful addition to a wedding or anniversary buffet spread. Bring your bridesmaids or birthday parties to this event and have a great, hands-on afternoon together! If we sell out, we'll run another class in the afternoon! Carving for everyone!Kay welcomes all people with any level of creative skill or physical ability. D/hoh and/or those with mobility devices are welcome - see our blog for more details.
Vouchers can be used against this class. You can also buy a special events ticket online now.
