- 1 10-to-15 pound whole, bone in ham
Glaze:
- 1 1/3 cups packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
2. Prepare Ham: Place the ham on a rack in a shallow pan, uncovered. Bake for 15-18 minutes per pound for a whole ham, or 18-24 minutes for a half, until it reaches 140°F (60°C).
3. Glaze: 30 minutes before it's done, increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C). Trim the rind, score the fat in a diamond pattern, and mix brown sugar and dry mustard with cider vinegar for the glaze. Spread it on the ham.
4. Final Bake: Return the ham to 325°F (165°C) for another 30 minutes. Slice and serve!
For a whole ham, allow 15 to 18 minutes to the pound; for a half, 18 to 24 minutes per pound. The ham will be ready when the internal temperature reaches 140°F.
