Ode to the cranberry! Part #3. #eatlocal #shoplocal
  1. Bring 3/4 cup each sugar and water to a boil with 1 cinnamon stick, 1 star anise pod and 1 split vanilla bean. Add 2 1/2 cups cranberries; cook 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in 1/2 cup brandy. Cool, then chill overnight.
  2. These little guys will be very useful in Part #4 but also make a great topper for vanilla ice cream!
