As many of us engaged in daily bread making experiments, we thought we'd share a delicious dessert that doesn't deplete our flour stores.
Cardamom Orange Flourless Chocolate Cake
There are NEVER any leftovers when we make this cake. Happy Easter!
Ingredients:
8oz. good quality bittersweet Chocolate. melted and cooled*
1 stick ( 1/4 lb.) unsalted Butter
1 tsp ground Cardamom*
The zest of 1 large Orange
4 whole Eggs
1/2 cup White Sugar
*Available from Well Seasoned
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Cream the butter until light and fluffy. Add the sugar and mix just to incorporate. Add the eggs one at a time until combined. Mix in the chocolate and spices.
Pour into a lightly buttered pan, we like to use a tart pan.
Bake for 25 minutes. Let cool for about 10 minutes before removing from pan.

Yes! You can frost it but it is a soft cake so make sure the frosting is light and easy to spread. Thanks – Angie
