Szeged is not just a city in Hungary, it is also one our best selling seasonings at Well Seasoned! For many of us the word paprika is synonymous with the tall red Pride of Szeged tins. They have been a pantry staple for as long as most of us can remember. Over the years, they have come a long way from just Paprika. There is nothing quite as refreshing than a big glass of iced tea on a hot summer day. One thing I have always loved about traveling through the United States is how readily available this is. Sweet Tea is a staple in all food and beverage outlets, and it's something we just don't see enough around the lower mainland. It's something I like to keep in my fridge on a regular basis, tastes great on it's own, and you can easily change the flavor with sweeteners, purees and fresh fruit. To make a pitcher of our iced tea all you have to do is pour 1 liter of boiling water over an iced tea bag. Allow to steep for 5 mins, squeeze out any excess liquid and remove the tea bag. Dilute using a 3:1 ratio. 3 liters of water to 1 liter of concentrate, stir and sweeten to your taste. We recommend 1/8 cup of simple syrup per 4 liters.
